Downtown Buffalo
Though Buffalo is the second largest city in the State of New York (after
New York City), it's not really a city-like place. It's almost an empty
city when I first visited downtown, and the buildings are so old that most
of the stores are empty or for rent. It is far below my expectation of
what a DOWNTOWN should be. Buffalo has its glorious history; however, like
other east coast cities, it faces its fate of falling.
But after I get more acquainted with Buffalo, I found it is not as empty
as I thought. If I want to have a drink and dance, I got bars. If I want
to watch shows, I got HSBC Arena. If I'd like a historic walk, I will have
plenty of site to visit. Of course, if I need to enjoy the beauty of nature,
the Niagara Falls is only 20 minutes away. I begin to think Buffalo area
is a really good place to stay, even in winter, you got tons of snow to
play ^__^.

Buildings that Tell Story
Historic buildings and churches are very important heritages of Buffalo.
Everyone of them has a fabulous story to tell.
Get me to the church on time!
Churches are everywhere in downtown. Look the exterior and the inside
of one church which I can't reacall its name. Isn't it spectacular!
Metro
The matro system in Downtown Buffalo. It's quite empty in the downtown
in ordinary weekends.
City Hall
The 25-story City Hall of Buffalo. It's the original model of the Empire
State Building (above left). It happend a marathon held there when I
first visited (above right). You can find most of the sculptures on the
building are related to labor and industry (bottom).
Taste of Buffalo
In the fair of "Taste of Buffalo", most of the restaurants
gathered on the Main Street of downtown Buffalo where you can enjoy delicious
food and wonderful live bands with various types of music. You'll never
see so many people here in the downtown except this wonderful fair.
